No — Medcare is a self-pay telehealth practice. We do not bill insurance. This keeps our prices transparent, our appointments available quickly, and our overhead low so we can pass savings to you. We can provide a superbill if you'd like to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.

We are currently licensed to practice in New York (NY) and Florida (FL). You must be physically located in one of these states at the time of your visit. We are actively working to expand to additional states — join our waitlist on the intake form to be notified.

Our care is delivered by a board-certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensed in New York and Florida. NPs are fully trained and authorized to diagnose, treat, and prescribe — the same as a physician in most states including NY and FL.

After your initial consultation ($149), your provider will evaluate whether you're a good candidate for GLP-1 therapy (semaglutide or tirzepatide). If approved, a prescription will be sent to a pharmacy of your choice or a compounding pharmacy. Monthly follow-ups ($99) include dose adjustments, side effect management, and progress reviews. The medication cost is separate and varies by pharmacy.

We typically offer same-day or next-day appointments Monday through Saturday, 8am–8pm. After you submit your intake form, our team will contact you within 2 hours to confirm a time that works for you.

Yes. Medcare is fully HIPAA compliant. All patient data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms for communication and video visits. We will never sell or share your health information without your explicit consent.

For conditions that require physical examination or diagnostic testing, we'll provide appropriate referrals. We can also order labs that you can complete at a local lab facility (Quest, LabCorp, etc.) and review results with you in a follow-up visit.
